December warmth and reflection

The weather outside has be mild, very mild for the midwest. Not complaining , as long as the sun is out.
I have sitting behind me 3, 4x8 sheets of plywood, that have been painted for our local grade school for their 3rd grade winter program wrapped in white paper awaiting pick up.
Yes, I forgot to photograph it and much to my disappointment I will not be attending this years program for I am having surgery on the 12th of this month. Nothing serious, could have been if I waited longer.

Boy has it been a crazy year, really a crazy past few years.
I lost my mom, whom we shared 57 years together, she encouraged me to keep pursuing my art. Long story how she came around to that, she believed that I should stay home with the children. Which I always questioned her about since she worked most of my life.
Truly an inspiring woman. Is still and forever.
Even as the years pass.

Moving back to the Starline building last January was a perfect idea and time.  Many thanks to Orrin, Karen, Eric and my friend Betsy for encouraging me to come back.
My old space was the 400 door , 2,000 square foot studio space that now houses 2 studios and a hallway. And as you know, some body, kids, older, who knows, had a wild party that got out of control after they broke into my studio. ( 12 years ago) Yes , studio artists did occupy the building, only 1-3 depending on who was still around. I took the place of a woman who was a painter from Chicago that was tired of the commute. Train, train, train........... I do work on the train when I go down.

5-6 years of not doing any work, maybe a few attempts.
PTS and therapy, love from family , friends. Especially the Kinney family. ( Thanks for all your
support, kindness, and understanding.
I returned about to celebrate my 1 year anniversary in my new studio.
And a wonderful safe inviting space it is. Not to mention full of artistic souls.
I also return to making animation in 2013.
Looking forward to learning new programs, still staying with 2d for now. The learning curve, you
know.
As December goes by in a blink I reflect on the old, anticipate the new, welcoming it into warm loving arms ready and waiting for a new.
Enjoy your December, may it be stress free and beautiful.
Peace
May you be warm in Heart, Health and May Peace surround you!
