Yesterday, I painted for 3 hours on a small still life that I had started the first part of december. Ha, the apple was still good, well in appeared to look good . Today decided to change my approach, well that would have been ok if my painting was dried. Yes a mess. sooooo. I took a very large soft brush and just smoothed the whole panting. Looked better all the hard edges, gone. Silly! Im caught in a trap.

So Excited, construction is about to begin in my studio. I talked to the owner yesterday, and its a go! I rented the studio next to me, sooooooo....... I requested an opening between the two rooms be made. Deal! I just returned with two doors that the wonderful Starline construction guys will hang into beautiful french doors. May not be in time for this months 4th Friday.

I just returned from our every Wednesday night meeting after a long break for me. Welcomed in open arms Wednesdays came into existence , when invited to attend a group that was put together by a woman outside my studio. Hearing banging and giggles coming from the walls in my studio, Ah! volunteers are here, hanging outside my studio for the upcoming 4th Friday. Music to my ears. 4th Fridays a juried show , genius idea, I must say so my self. Traffic through my studio and artists friends come to hang out. Wonderful happy artists, helping other artists sharing their time and talents. I just new from their energy that we would be friends, a strong spiritual connection, a true connection of kinder spirits. Searching for something that is not clear. Writing ideas, storytelling, films long or short require writing skills. Does that include, spelling? Darn, Im like a salmon swimming against the odds to the finale. So we add that to list. Starting with a refresher course, decided on "Ideas for the Animated short." Happy New Year! Exciting things are occurring at mbzstudio this year. As with all New Years or fiscal year end, we reflect and decided what needs to change in our life or business. Bringing us closer to our ultimate goal, the big picture, allowing us to make a living. Reflection on the past personal and professional. My mother's death September 8th was so far the greatest trauma in my life followed by surgery December 13th. Emotional and physical trauma that I carry with me into the new year. BUT with a renewed perspective on personal and artistic life. Recovering from surgery has given me the gift of time. Time to sleep, reflect, research, read and reconnect with friends. I have very dear supportive family and friends, an outpouring of love and support they have given me since the end of August when my mom had her stoke is amazing, over and over again, support, love and friendship.
