En Plein Air Addict

I have a feeling I will be sleeping before the sun moves around the earth. I would love to chase the light but this Plein Air painter is exhausted. Looking forward to seeing all 170 + painters work up framed on the walls. Always exciting to see how your work holds up. I learn so much by seeing others work. I learned so much about myself this past 3 weeks. Nature is the best teacher, much like a child. I feel so blessed.

Monday painting at the Palette

I worked surprisingly fast decisive. I attribute this to painting Plein Air for 2 weeks.
It's amazing how cross training can enhance your other work .
I have been studying traditional art and continue to do so , in the quest, pursuit of my style , the inner spirit to be awakened.

Monday at the palette

I signed up again for the quick sculpt , for next 5 weeks I will paint for 3 hours, more or less , lunch, then off to the coach house for quick sculpt .
I'm looking for representational abstract in my sculpture, well at least for this week.
The second piece, which I love, I took a hunk of clay studied it studied the figure , attempted to do a lose piece in 10 or less touches of the clay .

En Plein Air Beloit and Cedarburg Wisconsin.

And!

I feel like my easel looks, 9 days, 11 paintings. 2 different competitions.

French easel bites the sidewalk.

My French easel bit the ground, I watched as my terp.  went flying in the air, with the linseed oil. painting landed face up this time. Much to my horror, I saw a piece of wood and twisted sides. It is now resting comfortably in the garage after major surgery . So quick paint proceeded with a usually comfortable chair  for lounging. and my easel at half mast.
Need I say more......
