Big Foot Beach at sunset

Image
Coming home from a late afternoon painting day driving around the lake the sunset just took my breath away. Terry stopped so I could grab a few pictures as the sunset.  This reminds me of a sunset block print I did in 5 th grade.  This is the beach I spent many summers at while at the family summer home. Lots of good memories ! I drive on this road frequently , watching young families and boaters do the same . It was much different in the 60 s. 16x20 oil on inner glow panel

Thank you for visiting my studio

Home..... thoughts ...... to much information on my thoughts leave me hanging

At home for a week, in the mist of craziness........I left my paints and easel at my studio.  Going thru withdrawals and after a nightmare last night has motivated me to find alternative creative outlet.  will be an interesting week. and NO cleaning and organizing my home is not giving me the satisfaction that I had hoped. As sad as that sounds. I hate a dirty, smelly house.  Love clean cloths  and an organized closet. But have not held myself accountable to these for the past few years. So if you come to my house, pardon the dust Im busy creating art.   Its somewhat clean, I anticipate that it will not last long. It has been revealed to me in the past few years, thru a variety of experiences that I need, a secretary, a personal assistant ,an accountant, a dog walker, animal sitter, also a housekeeper and a cook. A personal shopper would be wonderful.  Also a tech person for my website. A contact person for my art, Representative. Yes, Im overwhelmed! ...

What I'm doing for 4 th Fridays

fiddlers in Cedarburg Wis. I painted this during the competition. Was going really well. At the last minute I made a wrong change that changed the game. I no longer felt it was strong enough to enter into competition. All the painting needed to be done on location.  Correction made in the studio from a reference photo. A long process . One thinks its a slam dunk , then wham. Poor color temperature , scale . Or composition. A garden variety of problems appear towards the end.  Wow! How can that happen! In the field.  Hence En Plein Air makes one a better artist  all around.
